TICKETS
In the middle of the Law Enforcement Tab Main Screen, you will notice the icon, “Tickets.” If you are responsible for entry of all citations, this is the section you would click on for the entry of information on tickets.
All tickets/citations should be entered in this section. The following screen affords you to enter these tickets/citations:
Once you have selected the type of ticket entry, the appropriate input screen is provided for that purpose. Notice that on this screen, again there are, Tabs at the bottom left which allow you to enter additional information as well as any necessary notes related to this violation. These notes may be observations by the officer of the offender, vehicle, or whatever may be of interest in the future should an issue arise.
Obviously, a DUI ticket requires additional information for which a Tab has been provided.
Finally, notice on the bottom line just above the tab markers in the middle, there are two indicators: One is “e-Citation” and the other is “nCourt.”
“eCitation” is an optional module providing you with the ability to electronically transmit the ticket to the Department of Public Safety. Before they can receive it, you must have an account set up with the appropriate department, and provide them with an email address for communication. AD&S can facilitate this for you and you may contact us for installation of the application.
Please be aware that the Department of Public Safety now requires tickets to be transmitted electronically rather than being mailed because of the efficiency of having tickets entered into the State’s records immediately. We have developed an optional module for this process and it will be discussed in the section, “eCitations” (meaning citations sent electronically to the Department of Public Safety).
The “nCourt” selection is another optional module which provides the opportunity for all offenders to pay the Court online through the Internet. We have a third party company which sets up your own city’s domain and anyone desiring to pay without having to be inconvenienced or required court appearance, can go online and pay their fine with a debit or credit card.
